Classic, feminine and fun are the words that encapsulate the essence of Glow / London, a ready to wear label that began in 2012.
Glow / London is the creative vision of Ning Voraphasert who graduated from the University of Westminster in 2002, with a BA in Fashion Design, before going on to complete a masters degree in Womenswear. To perfect her skills and see first hand the realities of the fashion industry, Ning began training with the London based fashion house, Alexander McQueen. It was whilst working at McQueen that Ning learnt the essential skills needed to begin her own label.
Her knowledge and skills are evidenced in the high quality and intricate detailing of her garments. Focussing on timeless silhouettes, Ning aims to empower women through her work by allowing them to feel good in something that has been hand crafted with love.
The fabrics used in the construction of each collection produced by Glow / London, have been sourced locally in the UK and each garment is made by Ning in Walthamstow. Although designer clothing is usually too expensive for most people, Ning believes that Glow / London’s designs should be affordable allowing everyone the opportunity to wear something special.
As a member of E17 Designers, Glow / London can be found at regular events across Walthamstow, and with Stella Creasy showing her support for the label at a recent pop up shop on Hoe Street, it looks as though the popularity of the brand will soar in the coming months.
